A lot of people know that you can come to Mission Bicycle and in an instant become a bike designer. Here’s what you probably didn’t know: after you design it, with our help, you can build it.
We call it Build Together, and you can do exactly that with one of our experienced mechanics. You'll start with a naked frame and ride home a few hours later on a finished bike. Your custom design realized with your blood, sweat, and tears. (It's just a phrase. You won't actually bleed or sweat. You might cry tears of joy if you're a crier.)
If the relationship you have with your bicycle is enhanced because you designed it, imagine how connected you’ll be after having built it yourself.

Bikes don't have to be complicated or intimidating. We offer this program so you know how each piece fits, how it works, and why.
How involved you want to get in the build is up to you. You can turn every screw, grease every thread, and make your design materialize.

If you'd rather have the knowledge without wielding the tools, you can simply watch and ask questions. Your mechanic will explain each component and each step so that nothing on your bike is a mystery.

Build Together

The process begins with frame prep.

Dan ready's the chain for sizing and installation.

Greasing pedal threads.

Our Build Manager Dan aligns the headset press so the headset cups can be inserted.

After the front end has been installed Dan demonstrates how to wrap handlebar tape.

Finishing the build with saddle installation.

The work.

The reward.
